LULLABY BERRIESLULLABY BERRIES is a dream-inspired image where a woman, a seer, gives predictions while in a state of unconsciousness induced after consuming mysterious red berries.
NIGHT HARVESTERWhile travelling throughout the USA, the creation of this image was out of necessity to stave-off anxiety while confined in a hotel.The Night Harvester collects dreams and spreads them throughout the psychic field where we all take pieces of images and experiences from other dreamers and incorporate them into ours. This is my conceptual explanation as to why we sometimes dream of people or place we’ve never met or have travelled to, and scenarios that have no real connection to us in the “real world”.
THE CAPTIVEWhile travelling throughout the USA as a “family member” in a Cirque du Soleil show called, Amaluna, I was battling severe anxiety and panic attacks. My way out building anxiousness was through creativity. THE CAPTIVE is a visual expression of how anxiety abducts and keeps the mind as a captive within its lies.
LUNAIn one of our overnight stays in dingy desert hotels during a road trip, I dreamt that the moon beckoned for me to follow it. It eventually lead me to a group of rock formations that emitted some unknown music. I woke up and thought nothing of it.While we were in transit between California and Nevada, my eye caught rock formations that grabbed my attention. I veered off the highway and made our way through the dirt path. Upon reaching the rock formations, I was awe-struck on how similar (if not the same) these were to my dream.My wife is always my muse and I asked her for the millionth time to pose in front of the rock formations, and when I got back home to process the image, LUNA (this piece of work) was brought to life.
