BASILISKS is a short collaboration between acrobats; Emmanuel Garcia (winched pole-artist) and Polina Makarova (hand-balancer). It is an artistic and abstract expression loosely based on angst towards mainstream social norms and structures. The text, images and music were designed to spark personal interpretations.
The project was originally created based on a script written as an audio testing exercise. It became an artistic endeavour after a conversation over brunch with Emmanuel and Polina.

NECROMANCY is about a sorceress teaming up a "familiar spirit" (the snake) to assist her in conjuring up the spirit of a lost friend who manifests as the wind. IMAGINATION JANE is a short art/dance video about a young woman whose imaginations reflects her struggle with isolation during the Covid-19 pandemic lockdown.

RLP's, Paolo, shot this over two-3 hour days with Montreal-based dancer, Marie-France Jacques when the restrictions were lifted. Paolo and Marie-France strictly followed all pandemic safety guidelines.

TRAGIC JOE is an Art film about a man who points at himself for the loss of his only child right before the pandemic lockdown. He finds solace through the mysterious appearance of a tin-can phone that leads him to find his lost child’s favourite toy. I shot this (with dancer/choreographer Roger Sinha) over a span of 4 hours when the mandatory pandemic isolation was lifted, and with proper safety protocols.
