She is currently the Artistic Director for Cirque du Soleil’s spectacle, JOYA, in the Vidanta Resort in the Riviera Maya, Mexico. She is also professional ballet and contemporary dancer with over 20 years in the entertainment business. Magnificent WilderMagnificent Wilder is the title of a series of photos with hand-balancer and dancer Gaukhar Atherton, also known as “Gasya”.She is originally from Kazakhstan, Almaty. A 34 year old mother of two and married to Andi Atherton (Cirque du Soleil artist-Atherton Twins)Gasya has been a Cirque Du Soleil Artist since 2006. She currently works at “JOYA” by Cirque Du Soleil, Riviera Maya since 2021. She was also part of the cast in ”PARAMOUR” Das Musical, Stage Theater New Flora, Hamburg (2018-2020), ”PARAMOUR” on Broadway, Lyric Theater (2016-2018), 84th Academy Awards Guest Artist, Hollywood (2012) , “IRIS” Cirque Du Soleil, Hollywood (2011-2013), “ VAREKAI” Cirque Du Soleil, Big Top Touring Show (2006-2010), Sport Acrobatics National Team Member of Kazakhstan (1998-2006).
