Inhabitants Project

United Nation’s official coral reef monitoring program, ReefCheck Foundation, fundraising event in Malibu Beach Club, California.

Backstory:

A few years back when RLP was based in Las Vegas (which back then was registered as Creative Hemisphere in the state of Nevada), they met up with the United Nations’ official coral reef monitoring program, ReefCheck foundation (RC), in the Pacific Palisades to discuss the creation of a multidisciplinary-arts event to help raise funds for the foundation. Fast forward to a year later, RLP, produced and presented the first Inhabitant Project in Las Vegas. The show garnered the support of luminaries such as Leonardo DiCaprio (as the honorary even chair) and raised awareness for the protection of coral reefs world wide and funds to help support the work of RC. The following years, RLP/Creative Hemisphere became the creative partner of ReefCheck Foundation and together they mounted another event in Pasadena, California at the venue of Hollywood producer, Gale Anne-Hurd. After the success of the event, the team was invited to produce another event in Malibu where they also honoured the conservation efforts of actress Daryl Hannah and Oceanographer Dr. Sylvia Earl..

The shows, Inhabitants Project, blended live dance, music and video projection. They collaborated with the dancers and musicians from Celine Dion and Dragone’s show A New Day, Nevada Ballet and in partnership with Chameleon Studios.
